Ferrari looked great in FP1 and FP2. I think they'll be fast again. But as fast as McLaren? I don't think so. 
However a podium looks possible as Verstappen seems to be having grip issues on his car.
Max to Ferrari? I don't think it'll happen soon. I mean at least next season. There are talks ongoing between Mercedes and his side recently they say but we'll see...
While I am in doubt that Max would choose Merc, I would clearly LOL if this will happen and Merc will also have a better car than Ferrari next year (too).
The Mercedes era might really come back as of next year. I hope for a real progress on Ferrari side finally too. Hamilton has been really good with reading the future of teams. He is at Ferrari now so I guess (and hope) he saw a good future in them as well.
If Red Bull doesn't manage to give Verstappen a competitive car then I think he'd think of joining Mercedes seriously.
