England had an interesting 1st innings. They started bad, Harry Brooke and Jamie Smith held the whole team. The pair had a 300+ run partnership breaking many records. England were 84 for 5 at some point looking very vulnerable and they too it to 387. But the more surprising thing is when Harry Brook's wicket fell, The rest of 5 batsmen made only 5 runs while Jamie Smith was still not out when the team was all out. It's like they did bad at first and bad at last but excelled by the two.
Still England's 407 is not big compared to India's 587. India started their second innings and are 64/1 at the end of 3rd day. Two more days left and India is already in lead by 244 runs. Some 260 runs tomorrow and India could declare their innings in evening and try to all out England. But considering the pitch's batting easiness, I see this game moving towards a draw.
Another day is stumps now, I think at this stage India must try to get the lead of 300+ runs and if possible go for 350 to 400 runs. The more the lead, the better it is for the Indian team, because we all know if India takes it slow then the days may remain less as just two days are left behind and England understood that it is so challenging for them to make the match in their own favour hence they could draw the game. India needs to declare the innings after scoring some decent score and then we will see what is going to happen next.
