Have you ever noticed how, even when you think you're managing your bankroll well, you still end up chasing losses, and instead of recovering, you dig a deeper hole? That's usually a sign that your bankroll management isn't as solid as you thought.
Proper bankroll management isn't just about setting limits, it’s about sticking to a disciplined plan. And by “proper,” I mean betting a small percentage of your total bankroll something really conservative, like 1% or at most 2% per bet. If you follow that strictly, you can avoid the frustration that comes with a losing streak. Even if you lose 5 bets in a row, you're not wiped out and you don’t feel desperate. The key is having a plan and actually sticking to it. Most of us fail on that second part.
Risk and profit are closely related and if someone bets from a bankroll of 1%, then he will hardly be able to win any large sums, but I would like to say that here everyone can have their own goals. If a gambler wants to play only for fun, then he can play for 1% of the bankroll. But if a gambler has goals to win money, then, most likely, he will have to increase the bet and use more than one percent of the bankroll. And maybe even five or 10.
That will not be a problem if he can not win any large sums especially if his reason to gambling is for fun. He will not chase bigger winning because he realize that he only use small bet and limit money. Gamblers need to know their goals by playing gambling and not losing so much money while he can have fun in gambling.
If he increase the bet and also his deposit amount, that will not guarantee him to winning big. He may instead lose all of the money he have while he doesn't have big chance to win big or recover his losses. It is normal the will want to keep gambling while we already lose 5 streak because we want to recover our losses. But in this matter, we should control ourselves and not easily spend more money in gambling.
