It's shitcoinery, and like you, everyone should treat THAT as a form of "entertainment". That's the main purpose, but if you "win", then that's merely the side-dish. The main-course is merely the entertainment you get from participating.

Plebs should be careful though, and never use more than 1% of your total Bitcoin, and if you think 1% of your total Bitcoin is "too small", then don't gamble. HODL.

I want to agree with you on the fact that shitcoin investment should be treated as a form of entertainment/ fun because I have not been seeing guys wining from shitcoin investment lately, while the rate of shitcoin losers keep increasing just as it is in gambling. And Yes, i would rather stick to my bitcoin investment than to gamble with it, because the 1% of bitcoin we think is too small can double 3% to 4% or even more in the long run. Which is why I would rather hold the 1% of my bitcoin to double instead of gambling with it, as I don't know it's potential in the future.
I don't understand how someone would be investing shitcoins and it would be for entertainment reasons. No amount of funds should be misplaced or lost intentionally. Shitcoins investment is mostly an all loss venture as in gambling. Gambling with a percentage of bitcoin in shitcoins is yet another point I would not advise anyone to attempt. Bitcoin accumulation is a continuous act and it won't be right to loose the little you already have.
The fact still remains that some many investors doesn't know that shitcoin investment is an investment that we shouldn't go into from the first place because there is know guarantee of getting back what you have invested on, so it should be very advisable to always channels all your discretionary income to invest in Bitcoin instead of investing in shitcoin.
I believe that every investor has the right to decide where to invest his funds into regardless but considering investing in shitcoins is a red flag to me and should be avoided because of the high risks involved. There are other investments/businesses that's good to diversify and that can also  be very profitable in the long run. For an investor who has reached his over-accumulation target in Bitcoin and wants to diversify Into other assets to keeps his funds in continuous value,I would recommend him to invest into assets like Real Estate, gold, stocks and bonds. These are good investment assets that's very profitable after Bitcoin although they are many of them but I decided to lists out this few for consideration.
Most cases that you are referring to, you'll tends to find out if you try to analyze the situation they are truly not interested in investing in Bitcoin for a longer term where their aims are to make quick money profit, that is why i think sometimes you find people that are interested in shitcoin, some too doesn't have the basic knowledge about how Bitcoin work and how to approach Bitcoin because they think Bitcoin is an expensive assets to manage, not knowing they can actually invest in Bitcoin and accumulate little by little, and also apply strategies that could work for them like having an emergency funds and reserved funds, why someone people are mostly interested in shitcoin because they are not investors but traders, if most people who are interested in shitcoin knows that shitcoin depends on Bitcoin, I don't think diversification should be a reason to invest in shitcoin, instead for trading benefits which is a more negative ways of loosing more assets.
