I think one of the major difference between Vincent Kompany coaching Burnley and Bayern Munich is the quality of players at Bayern Munich, in Burnley he was managing a limited budget, which wouldn't allow you to go for players you feel might help you deliver, while that of Bayern Munich is a bit different, because first of all you have the availability of quality players, so if as are a coach that knows his Onion, it shouldn't be a difficult thing to manage them and bring out the best in them. I believe next season, Bayern Munich would still come back stronger in their champions league approach.
The budget alone was not just the problem but then he had little experience as compared to that which he has gotten now coaching a big team like Bayern Munich who had to play in the champions league and then win the Bundesliga title and do not forget that both leagues are different leagues with different kind of pressure, competition and challenges they have to face both as the coach and the players so he is expected to achieve not the same kind of result nd so far, Kompany has been doing so well and has got the team a very good record.
For me I think Vincent Kompany didn't acquire another knowledge other than what he knew when he was managing Burnley because when he was still in the championship with Burnley they don't have enough funds to buy good players but when he left the team to Germany he didn't attend any other coaching school rather he took over the job. The additional knowledge he has gotten now will be from the management of the team, the players and the exposure he has gotten leading the team from the league to the champions League which he didn't do well last season. He tried to win the league in his first season but I think he's still not getting the team to the place they ought to be but hopefully next season he will improve.
