Well, bitcoin has been allowed in our country, but yes, it looks like nobody cares to use it as their purchasing currency. They are still loyal to fiat money. However, it was too early to say and conclude that it is a failed experiment until all countries say that it is over.
I know we're too far from realization, but why not let it extend its adaptation? There is still hope for it, and if it doesn't work in El Salvador, it might work in another country. If we just look at the current situation, we could really say it's close to nothing, but we can't be sure 10 years from now.
The adoption of Bitcoin as a currency in El Salvador is about to enter its fifth year and according to reports, over 90% of the population does not use Bitcoin as a currency. Whether we like to admit it or not, the truth is that it was a failed experiment.
Other countries will never say it's over and we don't have to wait for it. Because they never intended or wanted to adopt Bitcoin as their national currency. Meaning it won't happen so there will be no ending.
Since the future is unpredictable, there is still a chance but based on what has happened, that chance is very slim.
