I think that we should make a distinction between traditional casino games and sports betting.
Traditional casino games can be really fun, if you don't have any expectations of winning big. The "entertainment mindset" is definitely better than the "hustling/grinding mindset". Having a hustle mindset can definitely lead you to chasing loses and getting addicted.
Both are actually fun and made for entertainment, but the key difference is this: in sports betting, you’re not betting against the house while in casino games, you are.
Sports betting doesn’t have a built-in house edge the way slots or roulette do. Casino games are purely luck-based, there’s no real strategy that can guarantee consistent wins.
But with sports betting, if you shift your mindset and stop seeing it as just entertainment, you can actually improve over time. Be more rational with your decision-making, and most importantly, learn to control your emotions because that’s where most people fall into the trap.
