Agreed, luck is needed despite the type of  gambling that you're doing. It doesn't matter if it's sport betting or any other type of bet. You need to be skillful too and not depending only on luck for you to make profits after gambling for a long duration. I can't say anybody can depend on only the skills that they have for winning either, you'll need some atom of luck because there are times that you would have made the wrong decision and you need a little bit of luck for things to change. Your skills are going to increase your chances of winning but that doesn't guarantee you that you're going to win. Lasting gambling is all about being lucky then other things help you out a little bit.
That's what reality is but there are some people that still believe that if you have good skills or even if I say great skills is that a gambler would still rely on his/her luck during the time he/she is gambling. Even if we mention gamblers who have control is that if we total the amount a person lose on gambling and compare it to the total amount won which didn't even come close to a quarter of the money lose. I counted it myself when I gambled for two months and the amount I gambled for each week is 35 usd (a total of 140 usd each month), yet the money that I have left after 4 weeks is 37.9% or 38% (53-55 usd) if we round it off and the second month result is much lower where the money I have left is at 35 usd which is 25% of 140 usd if I didn't stop.
