Actually Bitcoin price often influence altcoin price but there's a season where altcoin do extremely well even when Bitcoin is stagnant or declining. What if this season comes More often, what will be the faith of Bitcoin?
Some Altcoins will experience an increase even though the price of bitcoin has decreased; this is greatly influenced by a certain group of people to boost the popularity of Altcoin itself. The goal is, of course, to make a profit in the way they do. If it works for a long time, it is possible that Altcoin can maintain its popularity ranking, but it all depends on the consistency of the related team to always develop the coins they launch.
There's good chance that it will happen since if the price of Bitcoin decrease or either goes stagnant that means the attention of investor shift to other altcoin.
But I really don't expect much on alts this season since it like we provably don't see any good price action with it this year.
And maybe with those situation we can see an altcoin season especially if Ethereum or other top alts would experience first a great pump. But I think its really better not to focus to much on this and they just take advantage on current situation happening. Since if they keep waiting on altcoin season there's provably a good chance that they would miss a lot of opportunity to acquire lots of Bitcoin.
