Well, we know that England cannot win this game but is there another twist in this game? The match is delayed by rain and it seems that England has been waiting for this interruption to kill as much time as possible. India has to get the remaining seven wickets if they are to win this match. The rain was quite heavy sometime before but not it is reduced to drizzling. Another thing that comes to my notice is that Edgbaston's drainage system is very well built so as soon as the rain completely stops, we shall see the play.

It's just the start of the day and we still have three sessions to play. Even if we lose one full session due to rain (which is unlikely to happen), even then India would be able to get them all out within the remaining time. If somehow there is more rain in the later part of the day and India are unable to get England out, then everyone will question on Shubman Gill as to why he took so long to declare in the 2nd innings.
Anyways, the news is that the covers are coming off and hopefully the play will resume shortly
