Clearly this is a setback experienced by Juventus last season and now they are starting to overhaul the team and in the Europa League and Serie-A itself last season there was not much that could be done because Juventus looked so weak in terms of defense. Napoli, Atalanta and Inter Milan looked much stronger last season and the three teams even had the same chance of achieving the Scudetto, although in the end Napoli managed to achieve it.
Igor Tudor is expected to bring big changes to Juventus and the hope is that it can be much better than the previous season when Thiago Motta was the coach. Even though it looks difficult, we can see Igor Tudor's ability in the Club World Cup and I think it is much better than the previous coach's method.
Wait a minute I disagree with your sentence that said Juventus defense was weak last season, on the contrary their defense was very good like Inter, Napoli and Atalanta. Their weakness last season was on the attack side.
For the overhaul that was done I have the same view, I feel that in Tudor hands they showed an increase in attack even though the progress was not significant but there is hope in the upcoming competition they will be much better if they get players who are suitable for the style of play planned by Tudor.
By looking at all Juventus competitors whose conditions are not much different, namely the change of coach, only Napoli is slightly advantaged in the upcoming competition.
