Now, I’m a father, and my 17-year-old daughter is starting to gamble too playing slots and even doing some sports betting. I don’t know how to feel, part of me feels oddly proud of what she’s doing.
What does that make me?
It’s understandable because you know how hard it is to become addicted to gambling and to get out of that addiction, and you are afraid that the same will happen to your daughter.
You will feel guilty if that happens, and you have not done anything to stop your daughter from becoming addicted to gambling.
The best thing to do is to have a heart-to-heart talk with your daughter and let her know your concern. Teenagers are very aggressive and easily fall into vice, so you need not to let that happen.
