The only way they would be affected is if teammates that were very close to Jota start the new season with emotions asides that Liverpool's squad is very strong the dead of Jota won't affect their attack much cause Jota is not the only player they rely on for goal. It's good for Liverpool's that such incident happened when the transfer window is still very far from closing so there's lots of time to scout a good replacement for Jota.
I have no intention to be rude, but Liverpool is fine without Jota. Jota was a great player, but in the previous season, he didn't contribute that match. Liverpool is still trying to find the a good striker since most of them aren't working well e.g. Nunez, Chiesa, and Jota.
Or maybe Liverpool want to play with false nine strategy because they have plenty top quality midfielders.
