In the second Test match between Zimbabwe and South Africa, South Africa declared the innings with 626 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 114 overs in the 1st innings. Wian Mulder batted brilliantly which is very commendable. Wian Mulder was unbeaten on 367. Brian Lara was the individual top scorer in the history of Test cricket. Brian Lara scored 400 runs in an innings in Tests. Only 33 runs were needed to break Brian Lara's record. But Wian Mulder didn't get that chance. However Zimbabwe lost two wickets in the first two overs, so far Zimbabwe have collected 8 runs for the loss of 2 wicket in 3 overs.
Wian Mulder was unbeaten on 367 runs. I don't know why South Africa declared their innings. South Africa should have given Wian Mulder a chance to score 400+. Wian Mulder could have set a new record. Wian Mulder was only 33 runs away from Brian Lara's record. And if he had had a chance to bat in 5/6 overs, Mulder could have reached the milestone of 400 runs.
I am sure that Zimbabwe will be defeated by an innings. Even in the two innings, the team will probably not be able to score even 450 runs. Zimbabwe lost two wickets in both overs. The team just lost the fifth wicket. Zimbabwe lost 5 wickets by scoring only 56 runs in 20 overs
The South African batsmen have played very hard in the first innings and have set a very big target in which they will not have to play the second innings. Their play like this has become a difficult game for Zimbabwe and it will be very tough on them, which will make it difficult for them to score runs. The Zimbabwean batsmen have been given a difficult target of 626 runs, which has become quite tough for them. If they do not play like the South African batsmen they will get a bad defeat. Zimbabwean batsmen Williams and Masakadza are play apart from that, they have lost 6 wickets. And so far the Zimbabwean batsmen have scored only 88 runs. The South African team has played a very good match which will further increase their strength.Zimbabwe has had a very poor start, so we shouldn't have any hope from them.
