I’ve been using BlueWallet and Muun for a while, but I’d like to know what you guys recommend today in terms of Lightning wallets on Android.
Main criteria I care about:
• Open-source
• Privacy-friendly
• Non-custodial (ideally with channel backup or recoverable)
• Low fees
Bonus if it works well with Tor or Orbot.

Zeus is the best option, but you need to connect it to your own Bitcoin node. You’ll also need to invest in a Raspberry Pi or, even better, a mini PC with at least a 2TB drive so you can run your Bitcoin and Lightning node 24/7. This setup allows you to open Lightning channels, and if you’re well connected, you can even earn some fees by routing transaction
After Zeus and running your own node, the next best options are Phoenix and Blixt.
You can also use custodial wallets like Wallet of Satoshi or Blink, which are much simpler and more beginner-friendly. These wallets don’t have channel opening fees like Phoenix or Blixt, since they handle everything for you on their backend.There’s also GetAlby wallet, which works as a browser extension,kind of like MetaMask for shitcoins
Also, keep in mind that Muun is not a real Lightning wallet,it uses submarine swaps instead of native Lightning channels, so it’s best to avoid it if you want a true Lightning experience.
