Szczęsny signed a new 2-year contract. I think it's the right decision and he will be useful for Barca. He performed very well last season. Was he suffering from a burnout syndrome? After he decided to retire, I think he realized that he couldn't do without football and decided to play as long as he was physically capable. His performances last season with Barcelona have been the reason why Barcelona are so keen to keep him. The competition for the starting spot next season will certainly be interesting as Marc-André ter Stegen also looks ready to carry out the task throughout the season, but things will not be easy because there are 4 good goalkeepers in the Barcelona squad.
