As the title says, What first got you into gambling, and what keeps you coming back?

It is because of:

a. peer pressure?
b. early exposure to it?
c. social influence?
d. the dream of winning big and have a good and better life?
e. to cope with stress?

I also put up a poll vote so we can understand it more. As for me, it's more of the early exposure to it, whether inside the house or outside. I remember when there was a family gathering when I was small, I will witnessed older relatives playing card games. And obviously my father is a gambler as well.

So let's see others might have other reasons to gamble.

I can attest to the first, peer pressure of making quick money is why many people indulge into gambling but I don't think at this stage of life that I'm someone will want to pressure me to do something especially when I don't understand how it's done. Gambling isn't something you can watch video and learn then becomes an expert, you have to try and try until you break even at a place where you will understand how it's done and someone will want to pressure me into it? It's not possible, I will do it when and how I like it.

The rest aren't different from the first but determination to reach an end goal is one of the key reason in gamble. I don't have hopes on it but if it comes, why not. I will take the money but no matter the ways and multipliers I used on my bets, I make sure that I don't gamble an amount that will give me depression later, it's unhealthy to be gambling with huge amount of money when you know the risk involved. That's my safety measure in gambling and goals.
