Jao Pedro scored his former club with a superb goal to put his club on the lead on the 18th minutes of the game. Chelsea was aggressive in their attack and pressured Fluminense defense frequently but only one goal was scored. Cuccurela was the savior of the first half as he was able to stop Fluminense goal from crossing the goal line. Chelsea was really lucky in the first half because all Fluminense efforts on getting an equalizer was not achieved.
You forgot to add the penalty which Fluminense were fighting for but the referee turned it down and said it wasn’t a penalty. That was another instance that could have lead to this team equalising in the game. In the end of the first half, Fluminense had more possession than Chelsea and this made it very clear once more how this match is going to be tough going forward in the second half.
The game is not one sided and even though Chelsea is dominating the attacks more, Fluminense also looks very strong to get an equalizer if Chelsea’s defence don’t defend well and stop event attack from this team not to get into the net. A very great kick from Joao Pedro to out his team on the lead after scoring against his former team with much respect he showed without celebrating.
