I don't think you've read it your reading the hand writing on the wall, Rodrygo isn't needed by the coach and clear. If you're needed the message would be passed across, Guler wanted to leave as he wasn't normally used by the then coach Ancelotti. Last season transfer window, he wanted to leave but Ancelotti said no that he will use him pre often than the previous season. Rodrygo was ahead of Guler in the selection order. At the end of the campaign, Guler wanted to leave and when Real Madrid appointed Alonso, he dropped a message that Guler should not leave that he will be used in his first team. That's why we have not heard of any Guler rumour of leaving again but that of Rodrygo.
This is the thing with football. You become a star player to a particular manager today, and tomorrow you become almost like a stranger to a new manager that takes over. From what I'm seeing, Rodrygo is definitely not getting those playing time that he used to get. I checked their squad fitness and dept in their last game, and that alone is able to convince me. I was even telling a friend that the breakthrough of Gonzalo Garcia is already a competition to Mbappe for that CF position.
At this point, Alonso's priority will matter and will decide players that will be happy. If Alonso is going to prioritize mbappe, then Rodrygo will definitely struggle to get playing time. It's literally between allowing younger players to develop by giving them chances, while the experienced players also gets a better playing time. tbh, it is going to be difficult, so I think Rodrygo should just use the exit for clubs that can guarantee him a starting eleven. Arsenal and Liverpool are pretty much interested.
