That cricket match was very disappointing for Bangladesh fans as team lost by 99 runs while chasing 286runs struggling to even reach 200. This loss highlights big problem. Bangladesh mostly loses when their top batsmen like Tanjid Hasan and Nazmul Hasan Shanto do not perform well.
Bangladesh also loses the match even if their opening batsmen play well. We had recently seen it in the first ODI match against Sri Lanka. Which is a very common thing of the Bangladesh cricket team. Their batting line-up collapsed dramatically when you will find them as favorites to win the match. Anyway, it was expected that Bangladesh would lose the ODI series. Luckily they managed to avoid being whitewashed.So Sri Lanka winning the ODI series too with 2 – 1. Yesterday’s match was an easy one for the Sri Lanka. They scored high and then didn’t let the Bangladesh come even close to the target. Winning by almost 100 run margin in a ODI match is a big win. Although Kusal Mendis was the player of the match with over a 100 runs, but I would say that Sri Lankan bowlers also played an important role in this win. Asitha Fernando and Dushmantha Chameera had a great start to the bowling and they took three wickets each, completely dominated the innings.
