Hope I'll remember to link to d5000's post whenever this topic gets revived in a question. Not that it's an issue to ask about it, but more important to understand that all scenarios won't do harm to Bitcoin.

It is a but special to me that all the so-called extinction threats people suggest actually only serve to strengthen Bitcoin (fork wars folding out in real time was eye-opening to me).
