It could be that the CEO is receiving a salary in bitcoins partly for his long-term profit and partly for his living... We are just speculating here. 
Takashi may have believed that receiving a salary in bitcoin would be better and if kept longer it would continue to increase than fiat, he may be a longtime bitcoin investor so agreed to receive a salary in BTC.
Maybe only a few people receive salaries (BTC) from large companies, because we know most of them remain fiat which many companies use to pay their salaries.
