There are so many ways an NBA team/franchise can earn that money back for their organization. You can simply Google or ask any AI like ChatGPT how they're able to afford paying players that much or ask why they’re willing to pay that such amount.

Also, I agree with you, Chet really deserves it, but not over Wemby. For me, Wemby is the better player. Anyway, there's also Jalen Williams. The Thunder seem set on locking in their Big 3, but I think Williams deserves a slightly bigger contract than Chet, at least based on his performance from the playoffs to the Finals. A rising star for sure.
