If someone becomes successful in sports betting over the long run, would you say that’s because of luck or skill?
There’s been a debate in the forum, some believe that gambling success is purely luck, that no real skill is involved, and that it’s not something to take seriously because eventually, you’ll lose. But there are bettors who have consistently made profit and proven they can win in the long run, believe it or not.
So the question is, can we still call that luck? Or is that already skill at work?
It doesn't need the rocket science to understand whether gambling actually works as a skill work or not. If we could use our skills in simple things like gambling, we could make a career out of gambling if we wanted to. But can you show me a gambler who is considering gambling as a career and leading a healthy life?
I don't think the answer to this will ever be positive. Because gambling is completely based on luck, whether you can win the next bet or not is completely decided by your luck, not your skill. So its pretty clear in gambling skill doesn't workout.
