Yesterday wasn’t that bad.. Although till second half, I was still expecting a draw likely one -one but after the second goal, I knew it was all over as Chelsea can now possess more to frustrate Fluminise...
Honestly, I didn't expect Chelsea to win without conceding a goal. Fluminense has been performing well since the group stage, lost just their first game against Chelsea. I lost my bet as well because Fluminense defeated Inter Milan and Al Hilal, and I expected Chelsea to face the same challenges, but Chelsea maintained a clean sheet and scored two goals. Cucurella made a huge save in the 25th minute of the game, which would have resulted in a goal. Some people said that Chalobah handball was a penalty, which the referee failed to award.
Well my expectation was either a Chelsea win or a likely draw, but I leaned more towards the draw. Someone asked why I thought the game could be a draw, I can't find that particularpost now , but here's the drill: Fluminense is just like Inter Milan, they play defensively but that doesn't mean they can't still attack, they just wait for the right timing. Chelsea's early goal disrupted their plan, which forced them to switch to attacking very early. They were unlucky, even with clear goal chances (I counted up to four dangerous attempts apart from the handball after they switched).
What mainly reduced these attacks were Chelsea's solid midfielders and of course, João Pedro also knew the perfect way to make Fluminense pay for their defensive style. I would have chosen both Chelsea to win and a possibility of a draw if I had known there was a player who understood their system

. A draw could have easily happened in the second half, with both teams struggling for one more goal through intense attacks, potentially lasting until extra time.
