I think what the OP is talking about is entirely different because he talked that if someone lose, the person should change the strategy. I think he is talking more about what can make someone lose more while gambling but he thinks the change in strategy may result to winning. I have seen people that lost money and change their strategy, think they can earn money from gambling but at the end, they lost more. I have even been in such situation before but I later changed and think in the right direction which is to be using what you can afford to lose to gamble.
You're right, because the strategy the OP is referring to here is whether changing your strategy in a game can result in a win in the next bet. But I don't know what game the OP is referring to because he didn't specify. But I think it's something like card games or sports betting, where people usually try to devise strategies. In my personal opinion, gambling is still gambling, and no gambler can truly win. In card games, someone can employ many strategies, but ultimately, the win-loss ratio won't change much. Honestly, I've never seen someone win more by changing their strategy. But if the change in question is managing emotions and finances and viewing gambling as a non-extra income, then yes, it will help gamblers avoid future bankruptcy.
