However, this amount is already good enough the losing bet itself is already near to 50K because it serves as cashback on his loss. I’m not familiar how bad beat jackpot works on poker but assume it’s a random percentage on the prize pool.
I think that's not one hand but was distributed over several. Also, since the biggest blinds on cash game are 2.50/5$, which has a max buyin of 500$, the players in question couldn't have lost a big chunk anyway, the reward for the BBJ must have been much higher in comparison, as it always does.
