have you ever been to prison? it is a tough life in there. no matter what you did or whether you were wrongly accused for something, prison is not for everyone. it is obviously lonely as you gets separated away from your family. it can get boring, not being able to do what you want.

but gambling, even tho is prohibited, is often what entertains most prisoners. there is no actual money in prison so they often exchange in other forms of currencies like food or smuggled items. even their way of gambling is smuggled. cards, dice and even information from the outside are all smuggled.

the reason why gambling is prohibited tho is because it might escalate into fights if someone for example loses and doesn't pay their debts

just shows how gambling will always exist anywhere
Gambling is not legal in prison. However, the convicts there play various games to pass their time. Because everyone there will go crazy feeling lonely if they don't get something to pass the time. And getting that opportunity, many people can bet on various things, and it then becomes a kind of gambling in their game. However, they do this secretly because if these things are known, they will not get the opportunity to play. And more severe measures can be taken against them.
I have reason it in me that anyone who is in correction centre is not allowed to gamble, instead of gambling they have different kinds of things they do that can give them money if they out from prison because I know very well that prisoners learn skills why in prison and nobody will give them such privilege to participate in gambling, playing gambling is a liberty and such liberty can't be granted why you are in correction centre.
