There could be some exploration as well for even a average sports fan to used AI as they are readily available to us to us. Although it needs more improvement I guess, but if they can process more data than us, then definitely they will have the advantage.
I still remember though, AI vs human in a chess match before, and so we have advance after that in decades. Now AI is everywhere, not just in sports betting, but others might have been using it in various ways and to take advantage of it.
I think the only reason why some people or gamblers would think sqqor believe that Ai have more chances of winning that humans is because they still like winning in gambling depends more on the skills and forgetting about the luck factor in gambling. Yes Ai seems to make more logical and rational choices in gambling as it is able to avoid mixing up emotions with their choices. But even in all these, without luck, it'll still end up in a big loss, so overly depending on AI models can sometimes or even most times misleading and I'd advice to approach with extreme caution.
