Seriously, I'm shocked at this move, I never expected this from Arsenal. It's like Arsenal has £50 million to spend on a winger but can't add up to that money in other to get a suitable striker, just wow. This is what I keep on complaining about Arsenal and people here thinks I hate them, lol. Arsenal is the only club that will chase a particular player from the beginning of the transfer window, giving all green lights and hopes to the fans that they will sign that player, only for them to fail in purchasing that player and opt for something entirely different. This is exactly one of those cases.
I don't know what Arteta is planning, but whatever the reason, I think he made a blunder when he decided to sign a player Chelsea didn't need. The transfer of Noni Madueke is progressing very quickly, Arsenal reportedly finalizing the deal after agreeing a fee with Chelsea. £52 million seems worthless to them, they dare to spend that much money just to bring in a player who will be plotted as Bukayo backup.
Noni Madueke is not the only winger available in the transfer market, they should consider Rodrygo because his ability and experience are better than Madueke. Whatever the reason, the decision has been made. In my opinion, Martin Zubimendi has been Arsenal most successful signing of the transfer window.
