Strategic gambling is the key factor responsible for good gambling. Some gamblers goes into it without his or her unique gambling pattern and that is the major causes of failure and constant lost in it. Going into gambling is same as going into business no matter how small or big, it requires identifying your reasons and a systematic business plan that drives once daily activities. All successful business men works with plans that helps them achieve their goals, so any gambler that doesn't have such itemized gambling strategy ends up being a loser.

Yes, both require a strategy to work on, but the situation is entirely different. Business requires planning, patience, tools, and a process to achieve your ultimate goal. When you complete the first step, you move on to the second, and so on. In other words, businesses are built on the data you have on the ground.
While gambling relies on luck, you cannot predict the next step so you can build on it and move forward, because it is entirely dependent on luck. Therefore, I personally cannot equate gambling with business.
