We will have our conclusion by the end of 2025/2026 season. If Erik ten Hag remained the coach, there was no way United will end the season that bad. Don't forget it was the same players Ten Hag used before leaving, Ruud van Nistelrooy used same players within that short period without losing unlike how Amorim entered the squad and all went down. Amorim isn't better neither Erik ten Hag but so far it wouldn't have been worse for Manchester United if they left Ten Hag until the end of season.
Erik ten Hag wouldn't have lost the Europa League final to Tottenham and obviously finished somewhere in top 10.
Comparing Amorim's half season to Erik Ten Hags two and half season alone is a flawed argument, you cannot say that there was a way Amorim would have done better than Ten Hag or Van Nistelroy, these two had been with the players almost three seasons and know them much better then Amorim does so even Van Nistelroy's performance was as expected, it is only after the end of this season I will key into such comparisons because it will be fair to say that have both had same set of players over almost same period of time and so it is a good time frame with which their performances should be judged.
I agree with you mate. You don't compare two coaches performance without giving both of them the same time duration in the club. It's obvious that Ten Hag have spent quite some good time with the team than Amorim who just took over the club manager from Ten Hag in the middle of last season. Majority of people are expecting too much from Amorim within a short period of time which is impossible.
