Here is some good news for Fenerbahçe fans...
Asensio was a quite promising player when he was young. But he couldn't meet the expectations exactly honestly... His real downfall happened after joining PSG where he couldn't find much chance to play.

He is still a skilled player of course. But I doubt he deserves such a high salary. He makes 14.5 million euros a year at PSG and now he is still expected to earn 10+ million at Fenerbahçe.
Marco Asensio hasn't had enough playing time at Aston Villa either. The Spaniard's performance has been declining recently. However, the Turkish league could be a good opportunity for him to rise. Fenerbahçe is one of the key teams in the Turkish league. They've begun to show this in Europe in recent years. While they've qualified for the Champions League, they've also reached the Europa League and Conference League stages, putting a real strain on the teams there. I think moving to the Turkish league is the right decision for Asensio. Fenerbahçe, under Mourinho, has begun building a very strong squad. I'm not surprised they've reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, after they've been close to Skriniar's transfer.
It seems very strange to me how such a strong player could have gone from Real Madrid to this one who can't even play in a smaller team, and yet these types of players should give their best when they find themselves in certain smaller contexts where the input required is less than in those of top clubs like Madrid.
