Carlo Ancelotti certainly had his chance and did well, no one can say anything about that. i think it was a good thing for Real Madrid to have him.
Afterwards, he decided to take on a different challenge: coaching Brazil to bring them back to top form. A coach like him loves these challenges.
Carlo Ancelotti's departure from Real Madrid to become the coach of the Brazilian national team was a well-deserved decision, as it was time for a change of coach to try new tactics next season. However, after seeing Real Madrid's performance in this year's Club World Cup, it seems Alonso still needs to work hard to improve his team's performance. He is highly expected to bring significant changes to Real Madrid after Carlo Ancelotti's departure. And that certainly won't be easy for Alonso, as coaching a major team in a slump is a very difficult task.
This is his first major game that he has managed after joining Real Madrid as a coach, And besides Madrid is already in a bad shape before he took over, so never expect magic to happen, let alone playing against the current champions of Europe PSG, he wouldn't have much to do as regards to that game. He played in Real Madrid as a player and not as a coach, and a lot of things has changed with the club in terms of the caliber of players in their right now and the management team, he needs sometime to be able to build a strong team we all expect with Madrid.
