Yeah, this is a common issue these days. A lot of UK banks have started limiting or outright blocking crypto-related payments, especially to exchanges like Bitstamp, Binance, etc.

You might want to look into Revolut — some users have reported success with higher limits there, though it's hit-or-miss depending on the account type. Wise used to be crypto-friendly too, but they've tightened up recently. Another option is using open banking via Faster Payments if Bitstamp supports it and sometimes that works around the card limits.

It’s frustrating, I know. Hopefully more banks start being clearer with their policies. Curious to hear what solutions others here have found too.

I’m relatively new to Bitcointalk and have been exploring the forum with curiosity and enthusiasm. I’ve read through several guides about the merit system and understand that it’s designed to reward posts that are helpful, insightful, or contribute meaningfully to discussions.

That said, despite my best efforts to post thoughtfully (and avoiding any “please give me merit” nonsense), I haven’t earned any yet. I know merit isn’t something you chase directly, but I’d really appreciate some constructive feedback from experienced members on how to improve my posts and increase their value to the community.

Admittedly, I’ve been lurking in Meta like a curious newbie adventurer trying to decode a legend — and I must ask:

I’m not trying to game the system or earn merit by flattery — just hoping to become a better contributor here and eventually earn merit the right way. Any advice, examples, or even mild roasting of my previous posts is very welcome.
