I am reading that Juventus and Vlahovic are working on a deal to get him to be a free agent, even without being sold. They tried to sell him, but Vlahovic couldn't find a team, not sure why because he is good enough to find a team at least, we know that much. However, Juventus wants to be done with this saga, so they are basically telling Vlahovic, terminate the contract, mutually, without Juventus paying. That way, Vlahovic could find himself a team as a free agent, instead of staying at bench all season long.
I think at this point, Vlahovic postponed it, only because he is telling his agent to go find if any team would accept him if he is free agent, if there are any interest then he could definitely go free agent and move to another team.
There are reasons why Juventus might be trying to sell Dusan Vlahovic, even considering a deal that could allow him to become a free agent. There are reports that Vlahovic isn't central to manager Thiago Motta's long-term plans. While he can contribute goals on the pitch, he's likely not well-suited to Motta's style of play.
While Vlahovic's talent is undeniable, his asking price of around €25-30 million and his high salary may have deterred potential clubs. To resolve this situation, Juventus will either agree to a sale or aim to relieve themselves of the financial burden with a controlled free agent deal. Ultimately, it seems Vlahovic will be happy with either situation.
