I came across a post which revealed a statement Enrique made after Mbappe left PSG for Real Madrid. He said "I would rather have four players who scored 12 goals than one who scores 40. To me this is a very deep statement that has a lot of important and necessary meaning. If that one player fails to perform in a game the team finds it difficult but if one player out of the four fails, three is always there to cover up for the team. That's why a club needs to have a team and not individual players.
Enrique statement is more than enough to tell us about how he prefers "team working" instead of "one man show" team. lol
That's also telling about the situation happened in Madrid. A club that rely upon their two divas (Mbappe & Vini).
This is something Alonso needs to change. Teamwork is more effective than any plan, and Enrique's statement confirms this. It's become easier to take precautions against teams where one or two players are at the forefront, but it's much harder to take precautions against a team with strong teamwork. Football has now entered an era where teamwork is paramount.
For the situation in Madrid to improve, Alonso needs to teach his players teamwork, and I believe Alonso can do it.
