If you are connected with other liabilities, even if you are free from them, you will still be stuck because you are already used to it, which is the same case that applies to a car, as you used in your example.

But in some other cases, cars can be a source of income. Some even use cars to close deals, because people tend to respect them based on the car they are using. In this case, buying a car will be concluded based on the advantage you get from owning it.

But if it’s not that important, and you don’t use it to go to your workplace or as a source of income, then it becomes a liability to you, and it will affect your finances. At first, if you lose the car, you will miss it. But after some time, when you see the amount of money you are saving without the car, you will understand that it’s better to stay without that liability.

All this shows that most needs are useful based on what you use them for. In other cases, if you use a car for nothing, then it is useless.
