Overall, I never knew about this but indeed when looking at the current situation, especially for the underworld, there will definitely be things that we have never even thought about so I am not too surprised if something like this really happens.

Including for my country, it is possible that something like this still exists considering some news about something else that certainly has implications for prohibited things such as drug sales arrangements that can still be controlled in prison (recently in my country's news there was something like that) so in the end things like gambling will certainly always exist.

Now something that can be witnessed in movies can happen in the real world and it is indeed possible and not impossible that something like this can also be directly related to some of the police who are responsible for covering this up.
Even though this may be closed to the outside world, sometimes things like this become very commonplace for some people especially those involved in it.
