I tried checking any news outlets that reported that Elon Musk's party will make Bitcoin a legal tender and I couldn't find anyone. Anyone who trusts politicians will be disappointed. They can promise anything to gain political power. When they are elected, you will know that it was a bait to get your vote. I don't trust Trump and Elon, Bitcoin should be apolitical.
Politicians often lie and act beyond their promises, and I'd prefer Bitcoin not be involved in practical politics. I've never read a single news story about his party accepting Bitcoin as legal tender. To make this dream a reality, they'll need to change regulations first, and what about the dollar if this is a specific agenda they plan to pursue once they come to power?
But one thing most people overlook is that Tesla still holds more than 10kBTC to date. That means Elon's support for bitcoin hasn't gone away and he's just reiterating his support. The difference between Elon and other politicians is that he has been supporting bitcoin since 2021 while Trump and other politicians have called bitcoin a scam before. They only really changed their tune and came back to support BTC when they ran for president.
Trump called bitcoin a scam in 2021 when he left office at the end of his first term, why is no one mentioning this?
Elon Musk has not been a steadfast supporter of Bitcoin. He was good at causing FUD in the market. He stopped Tesla from accepting Bitcoin claiming that it destroys the environment. If he were not considering promoting a political party, would he have reconsidered his support?
Do you believe that Elon Musk doesn't fully support Bitcoin and is doing it solely for the growth of his business? The question is, how can this idea be implemented if they haven't yet established power in the region, and to gain that power they'll have to fight the two major parties there.
