Yeah, I joined one last Sunday. It was a guy streaming on Twitch who was sponsoring them, I don't remember his name though. I got knocked out pretty early, though, unfortunately.

All the freerolls are good no matter the money involved. You gain experience with every hand you see and you can gain some knowledge on opponents that you might meet later on down the line. Yes it's small money, but it's free and you learn.
It's true that freeroll tournaments kinda give you more experience, mostly because it's just like a practice game for you, you can observe other players and how they play, you can learn more about the type of game being played, like the variation, and you will also learn which hands you can trust and which you don't in that particular poker variation.
What I generally do is join cash tables with small stakes, like 0.04/0.08 or maybe 0.05/0.1, and play there, whenever I have time. I mostly do it for fun and kill some time, but it's also good for practice and experience if someone is new in poker.
