Djokovic has come out to say he is planning on being there next year. He is desperate
for that 25th grand skam which I dont believe he will get.
He won't get it as long as he keeps facing opponents like Alcaraz and Sinner. He didn't bother running on so many occasions throughout his match with Sinner which itself says everything. He needs to learn from Nadal and Federer on when to retire effectively and focus more on his family.
I have done the same on Swiatek, I think she is deserved favourite because of
the level of tennis she has been playing and of course being former #1.
I bet on Anisimova instead since she has surprised me throughout this tourney and I feel like she has the edge against Swiatek.
Well Djokovic obviously thinks he has a chance, maybe he is banking on both
Sinner and Alcaraz being beaten in the rounds or before he might have to meet them.
Its a possible approach and I'm sure a lot of players factore this into their route
to the finals of the grand slams.
Just listening to the pre match analysis for todays final and there is obviously
adbantages and disadvantages to both players games v's the others, hard to
know what way it going to go, it could be close over 2 sets.
