The primary concern is that the masterminds may attempt to flee the country. Therefore, authorities should issue a watch order or a hold departure order to prevent them from escaping to other countries.
I don’t read news but we all know how lousy Philippines government on handling high profile case like this. There’s a lot of prominent criminal that manage to run on different country and apply for asylum right before Philippines police file a warrant of arrest.
Atong Ang will surely flee earlier if he think that his case will have a solid evidence. But I doubt he will give up immediately all his business here while he can just prolong the trial and probably pay some judge and good lawyer to defend him.
