Some people always get this wrong, not everything is relating to a spiritual issue especially gambling, it's more relating to a mental issue than something spiritual for instance you shouldn't be referring an addicted gambler to the church or spiritual home for prayers, rather such cases should be handled by a mental health practitioner, psychologist or the rightful professionals to handle the situation, your spiritual leader or teacher is just a religious leader meant to handle spiritual cases and not the right one to handle such cases, I don't know about other societies but I've seen people in my region make such errors and it needs to be addressed.
Some people are addicted to gambling from birth and some are not addicted to gambling from the beginning. The more time someone spends on gambling and continues gambling for a long time, the more they gradually become addicted to gambling. Because they are very greedy and they think that if they continue gambling, they will be able to give something big or they will be able to recover their previous losses. These things are born automatically while playing gambling. And those in whom these things are born gradually become addicted gamblers. And at that time when they lose more and more, they only start blaming fate and blame the creator for putting these things in their fate. But they never actually justify themselves that they are doing these things out of greed.
People addicted to gambling do not become addicted in a day, they lose day after day through gambling and are attracted to gambling more to get that money back and this is what we call the addicted. Of course you cannot call all addicts greedy because if you lose a lot of money then naturally you will try to recover it. There will be a question about whether it is logical to call such a symptom greedy. If you want to be fair with your financial management especially when gambling then it will be more logical for you to gamble for entertainment because the time or money you spend on gambling is for your entertainment, here you are ready for any situation whether it is profit or loss.
