Hard to expect Madrid won't not perform as bad as last season. I know you're concerned about their injury last season, but this time is completely different. They have new squad, lack of chemistry, and no solid team work. They're still at the preparatory period, which is nothing to expect as they in the process to learn how to work as a team.

Better to have less expectation to them. Only anticipate you not to feel disappoint in the end.  Grin
Real Madrid have nothing to worry about, they have everything they need. Their financial clout can attract anyone their manager desires, and the big names and huge salaries on offer will tempt any player to join. Real Madrid's form will improve as the season progresses, so I think it's too early to doubt them now. Everyone is optimistic about it, especially the fans, but it is always possible that another European team could do better next season than Real Madrid.

Besides the Champions League, I think Real Madrid also needs to focus on all domestic competitions. They lost everything last season, and that has clearly led to a lot of speculation about them. An improvement in performance is expected, and then they will target several possible titles next season.
