TAA was also not great at defending to be honest. This is why I think Frimpong's arrival won't change things much there in terms of defense. Arne Slot must be prioritizing attacking much more considering his choices.
Nah, TAA wasn't a good defender but with Frimpong the whole shape of the team changes. Not sure if Frimpong can even play as a full back anymore - he was a wingback in recent seasons, operating in a space where Salah often drops to receive the ball.
I think he was bought both as a potentlal full back but also as a long-term potential Salah replacement - like a 2-in-1 solution, that might or might not work out.
Then you add Kerkez - another player that joins forward as often as he can - and you have a team with a different shape. And you still don't have a classic holding midfielder.
We'll see - but it's a risky move. I would not be surprised at all if Frimpong loses his spot to Bradley soon.
