This seed phrase acts like main key allowing your wallet to mathematically create whole tree of other keys and addresses. So if you ever lose your hardware wallet you can just use that same seed phrase on new compatible wallet. New wallet will then use exact same math to find all your old addresses and Bitcoin in them. This means your seed phrase is most important because it is  only way to get back all your Bitcoin no matter how many addresses you used.
