...The kick-off of the first game of the new season between Girona and Rayo Vallecano is scheduled for Fri 15th August.
Real Madrid's game against Ossasuna will take place slightly later, on Tue 19th, but there's seems to be some controversy with that game. Apparently Real and Atletico had an agreement with the Association of Spanish Footballers that, should any of them reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Club, their opening La Liga games would be postponed to later terms. But, despite Real reaching the semi-final, La Liga president, Javier Tebas has stated that Real's request to postpone the game was officially rejected.
If so then the Laliga president is not being fair, I know that there's still lots of time for Real Madrid to be fully prepared for that match but then if both parties had an agreement then he should honour it and grant Madrid their request after they got past the quarter final as agreed so it's fair enough for their request to be granted, atleast for representing the league and reaching that far. Real Madrid should just accept their fate and play their opening game afterall they're the most likely to win it and there's still much time to be prepared. Anyways I don't know prepared Girona is for the new season but I'm counting on them to win Rayo Vallecano.
