Xabi Alonso still has a lot of time to develop the Real Madrid team and from what happened in the Club World Cup I don't think it can be used as a reference because Xabi Alonso still needs time to adapt and also Xabi Alonso has proven that he is a quality coach when handling Leverkusen so the same thing is also possible for him to repeat again with Real Madrid.
This si every true and correct,  this world cup tournament is not enough to measure xabis performance or to judge his ability overall with Real Madrid, he may layer be able to do even much more only that we do not seem to have the patience just yet because we believe he has all it take and a very brilliant squad with plenty of good quality talents whom he can use to achieving greater height with the team soonest.  At Leverkusen he did it in his first season but it was within  the German league which is less competitive as compared to the FIFA Club World Cup and the Spanish LaLiga
Xabi Alonso needed time to prove his managerial qualities. He wasn't immediately successful at Leverkusen when he took over club, everything went through an adaptation process. Real Madrid run in the Club World Cup isn't a complete benchmark, I think they'll perform differently when they play in La Liga and the Champions League next season.
With the depth of his squad, Xabi Alonso will gradually be able to bring Real Madrid back to their best. I think the only concern for next season will be injury problems. If Real Madrid avoids those issues, I'm quite confident Xabi Alonso can perform to expectations.
