now, they must be going through pilot history and their social media and mobile records etc.
imo, the co-pilot who was the young pilot was flying and the captain was monitoring
so in my view, the captain the elder one was the one who might have cut-off the fuel
i don't believe it was accidental as these switches do not trigger so easily
so, maybe he was suicidal and did what the captain of mh370 did
